  • CYFA also offers a flag football program (K-1st). 2nd-6th grade flag football is also available through National Flag Football.

How much will registration cost? Cost is $65 for K-1st grade flag football, $99 for 2nd grade tackle, and $225 for grades 3rd-8th tackle. It is our intention to hold our costs down as low as possible. Players receive a jersey they can keep at the end of the season. (Note: discounted rates available to families who qualify; more information included in registration form. We also assist families in need with equipment, not including helmets, on a first-come, first-serve basis).

Will my child get to play on the same team as his friendsTeams will be organized by neighborhood as much as possible up to 3rd Grade. 4th - 8th grade teams will be organized by player draft. It is our hope to have similar cohesiveness as with other Centennial Sports Programs.

What equipment will my tackle player need? All tackle players are required to have a football helmet and facemask, football shoulder pads, mouth guard, black football pants, cleats, protective cup, and football socks (sock color determined by coach). We assist families in need with equipment, not including helmets, on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Can my daughter play football? Yes. CYFA tackle and flag football is open to anyone in the Centennial School District from Kindergarten to 8th grade.

When does the season start? Tackle practices officially begin in early August with games starting in September. Flag will begin in late August.

How long is the season? The season will be done by the end of October. It is our intention to eliminate any overlap with winter season sports.

When are the gamesYouth football games can be played any day of the week/weekends starting in late August and ending by late October. The exact times will be determined by the league scheduling system. Note: Flag football games will not begin until after Labor Day.

Where are the gamesGame locations will vary per grade level. The flag football program will have games at Aquatore Field in Blaine. The tackle football program (2nd-8th grade) will play some games in the Centennial School District area as well as surrounding communities.

Where and when are the practices? Practices will vary by team. It will be up to the coach to determine the dates and locations of practices. The first week of practice will be in early August.
