Hello 2017 Football Players,

Hard to believe football is less than 2 weeks away! In order to be prepared, please review the below key dates for upcoming tackle football events.  Also, please make sure your player has all the gear they need prior to these events.  Check out our Parent Guide web page by CLICKING HERE for all the details.  All  upcoming event information can also be found on our CYFA Calendar located on our website, or by CLICKING HERE

Upcoming Events:

• July 31-Aug 3: 2-6 grade Cougar football camp at Centennial Stadium. if you have not already, YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THIS CAMP ON THE CENTENNIAL COMMUNITY ED WEBSITE BY CLICKING HERE.  There is no charge for 2-6 grade CYFA Players, but you must be registered to attend. Players should bring their helmet, shoulder pads, cleats, and a water bottle.
  • Grades 2-4: 530-630pm
  • Grades 5-6: 645-745pm
• August 1 and 2...parents only need to attend one session: Positive Coaching Parent Clinic.  Mandatory for new CYFA  tackle parents, recommended for returning parents.
  • 545-645pm at the High School Cafeteria on August 1 and 2 (you only need to attend one).
• August 7: Team formation
• August 7-8: Coaches will make first contact with players.
• Aug 8 & 10: Grade Wide practices. Players should bring their helmet, shoulder pads, cleats, and a water bottle. Location will either be CSM Fields, or CHS Stadium...will update on exact location when finalized.
  • August 8: Offensive Focused
    • Grades 2-3: 500-600pm
    • Grades 4-5: 615-715pm
    • Grades 6-7: 730-830pm
  • August 10: Defense Focused
    • Grades 2-3: 500-600pm
    • Grades 4-5: 615-715pm
    • Grades 6-7: 730-830pm
• Week of August 14: Team practices begin. Your coach will advise you of your teams specific dates, times, and location.
• September 9: First game for 2-6 grade teams. 7th grade games will also begin around this time...coaches will provide more specific details.
