Another great flag football season is in the books - Good times had by all!

What a great time our K-3rd graders had in Flag Football this season! This fun and exciting type of football helps prepare kids for success as they get older...gaining skills and confidence in their game. This season consisted of two K teams, four 1st grade teams, and four 2/3rd grade teams playing up to 9 games each.

Per Flag Football Director Jared Sampson:

"The flag football program continues to grow and be a popular option at this age group.  Our goal is to provide a fun and safe environment for the players to learn football fundamentals without the focus on physical contact.  We heard from players, parents and coaches that it was a great season and tons of fun!

The final game of the year on the high school field is the highlight of the season and creates lasting memories for everyone.  The energy, excitement and anticipation of playing 'under the lights' is something special for these young athletes.  Some of my favorite memories are watching players on the field take a few moments to stare up at the stands and become mesmerized by all of people and the bright lights shining down.  We're excited to provide that opportunity and will continue to enhance the experience even more next season."

For those families that participated in this flag football season keep a look out for an upcoming 2015 Flag Football Parent Survey that will help us continue to improve our league. Thanks to everyone who helped make this another exciting year for the kids!
